Cuddles & Care was founded in January 2022 by its current owner, Jessica Peters. Although the company may be new, Jessica has had a well-rounded road which equipped her with numerous qualifications when it comes to taking care of babies. 

From 2013 – 2019, Jessica attended medical school in Central America, where she trained to be a doctor. After completing her second last year, life happened, and the decision to officially complete her training was taken out of her hands. However, that didn’t stop her from finding a new career path in which she could use all her previous experience and knowledge. 

Her first nanny job started in Cambridge, England UK during the summer of 2017, when she took a leap year from medical school and decided to dip her toe into the world of nannying. She nannied for a lovely British family in the beautiful Cambridge Countryside. Her two little charges were 2 and 3 years old and kept her busy! 

After not being able to fully complete medical school, Jessica moved back to Vancouver and took up nannying again. After several years of working as nanny for various Vancouver families, she found herself beginning a wonderful journey in overnight newborn care. 

As a medical student, Jessica has delivered and cared for hundreds of newborn babies throughout her years of training. She has always had a deep love for babies, so the thought of building a full-time career around that passion, was a no brainer! 

Today, Jessica has worked with many families across the Lower Mainland as she helps them adjust to life with a newborn. 

Providing quality newborn care to families is Jessica’s top priority. Being in someone’s home postpartum is such an intimate job, and the person providing that support needs to be chosen wisely. Experience is key when it comes to taking care of a newborn, and that is something Jessica looks for in all her night nannies. 

We love to be welcomed into our clients’ homes and help them navigate the adventure of parenthood. We help families as they grow, and it’s what we do best!
